Irregular verb is the explanation for why verb “ser” have too many words, in regular verbs finishing with “-er” in present have the same ending “-o -es -e.. etc..” “comer” “como” “comes” “come”

hi everybody. i m italian but i know english. i’d like to know if the pronoun is obligatory like in english or if you can use just the verb. so for example, in english you must say: I AM MARIA. in italian we can say SONO MARIA (so without the pronoun.) in spanish, can we say : SOY MARIA ?!?!?!?! thank you ;)

  9. hunfry Says:

    yes, it’s the correct form

  10. formica8 Says:

so, we can use both “soy maria” and “yo soy maria” ?

    ok, thank you

  11. dario123verta Says:

    yeah u can
if you say “soy maria” its understood that ur talking about yourself

  12. Vespillo12 Says:

HOGAR ends in -AR but its a noun which means HOME, and not a verb. LUGAR means PLACE and it isnt a verb either, so there are some werds that can end in AR and be nouns ;) ALFILER is a PIN, etc etc.

  13. Vespillo12 Says:

    PS

its vosotros sois, not vosotros son

  14. badmuthahubbard Says:

Just say, he is wrong. “you are” is not “vosotros son” is “vosotros SOIS”.
We don’t say subject when we talk, ‘cos all the terminations are different, so from make a diference between “ellos” y “vosotros” we say it in a diferent way that this guy sais. Ex. sois guapos (you’re beautiful) son guapos (they are beautiful.

  21. PyroXyro Says:

eiias or ellas? its seems to be ellas how its written in vid but guy says eiias clearly

  22. MexikaneRr2008 Says:

itz’s ellas you just say eiias .. it’s always like this when there is a ll

    like mallorca ; pollo etc

  23. PyroXyro Says:

    thank you!!!!

  24. mugisoon Says:

Muchas Gracias, this is very effective lesson, thanks for sharing this video

  25. sidstille Says:

In Spanish, “ll” is actually a letter of the alphabet.
It is pronounced like a Y
so you say eyas but it is spelled eLLas

And a double r is rolled… but i don’t understand why the guy in the video keeps rolling his r’s after the verbs..
    as in “cantarrr” it’s cantar.
